The Renal Dialysis department has extensive experience in multidisciplinary clinical research conducted in collaboration with other departments, such as the clinical pharmacology department.
The team’s research focuses on a number of areas:
- Patient quality of life
- Self-care and symptom management
- Education and multidisciplinary communication
- Medication dosages
- Blood monitoring.
Lessons learned through these studies inform improvements in patient care and outcomes, including a better uptake of the symptom management clinic, wellness interventions and goal setting.
