The Dysplasia and Anal Cancer Services (DACS) is a research, clinical and teaching facility that provides care for people living with or at risk of anal cancer and related conditions.

The research undertaken by DACS clinicians offers patients access to advanced care in line with the most recent developments in the field of anal cancer. This research includes investigating the natural history, screening technologies and treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated cancers and the evaluation of radio frequency ablation and electrocautery in the treatment of anal HSIL (high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion – a pre-cancerous condition).

DACS researchers and clinicians collaborate with other research organisations, including The Kirby Institute at UNSW, The Garvan Institute of Medical Research, and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.
