Launched in 2024, ‘Pitch for Health’ is a Grant program that identifies and supports the best in early-stage medical discovery concepts. These grants provide seed funding to help progress breakthrough medical research ideas. This funding aims to help bridge the gap between discovery research and more well-developed technologies, by enabling our researchers to deliver the required ‘proof of concept’ or ‘proof of scale’.Â
As part of the assessment process, applicants are required to pitch their proposed project to a panel of judges at a ‘Pitch for Health’ event. Mentorship by industry experts is provided to applicants to prepare their ‘pitches’, with the goal of developing their presentation skills as well as the quality of their project.Â
This grant scheme is open to all researchers across St Vincent’s Sydney Health Innovation Precinct.
